Drug prices in Argentina rose almost 100% above inflation in 2023

The price of the most used drugs for the treatment of chronic pathologies registered an increase of 319.1% between the months of January to December 2023. According to the latest report by the Centro de Profesionales Farmacéuticos Argentinos (Ceprofar), this rise represented almost 100 points above the consumer price index (CPI) published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC).
