Buenos Aires, Argentina - A woman shopping at the supermarket is pictured here on April 7, 2024. Argentina's March inflation would be around 10%, down from 13.2% in February, the country's economy minister Luis Caputo said late on Friday, saying the economy is "significantly better" than forecast. If it registers a mark of around 10%, Argentina would report its lowest inflation rate in four months, after a peak of 25.5% in December, according to official data. Latin America's third-largest economy has the highest inflation rate in the world after recording an increase of 211.4% in 2023. "I think inflation in March will be around 10%. There are no longer macroeconomic reasons for inflation," Economy Minister Luis Caputo said in an interview on local news channel TN late on Friday.
