The Patagonian Train starts from the Carmen de Patagones station, which adds a new experience, the crossing of the Río Negro through the old railway bridge, to the trip of more than 800 km to San Carlos de Bariloche. The old railway bridge over the Negro River was inaugurated in 1931. At the time, the construction of the mixed bridge (rail and road) was considered one of the most important engineering works in Patagonia. Its most notable feature is that of its four sections seated on pillars, one is tilting. The section, 52 meters, could be raised to allow the passage of ships that until the 1940s reached the port of Patagones. With the new route, the Rionegrino railway service not only seeks to strengthen the integration of both cities, but also adds a new tourist attraction for the region.
