Everything indicates that the next President of Argentina will be among Alberto Fernández, who takes as Vice-Presidential candidate the former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, and Mauricio Macri, current President of Argentina, who is on his second term and is accompanied in the Presidential formula by the Peronist Miguel Angel Pichetto. After the Primary on Sunday, August 11, the October election will define the next President, among other positions. The Argentine electoral system establishes that, to be president, the most voted candidate must obtain at least 45% of the votes, or more than 40% with a difference of ten percentage points with the second most voted candidate. If none obtains sufficient votes to consecrate themselves president, they must compete for the Government in a ballot that is disputed on November 24.
