Catamarca, Argentina.- In the photos, fired Catamarca textile workers took over the Industrias Textilcom factory plant, demanding their immediate return to their jobs on May 27, 2024. The Textilcom company has had to close its two plants located in the provinces of La Rioja and Catamarca, with the consequent dismissal of 267 workers. The Secretary of Labor of the province of Catamarca, Myriam Espinosa, confirmed the layoffs at Textilcom and another textile company, Alpacladd, attributing the situation to a sharp drop in sales.
