Every August 17 since 1925, Bolivia celebrates Flag Day in commemoration of the anniversary of the creation of the first Bolivian insignia in 1825. Currently formed by three horizontal strips of equal width and dimensions, known as 'La Tricolor' is Red, yellow and green. The Supreme Decree of July 14, 1888 establishes in its 5th article that: 1 The red stripe represents the blood shed by our heroes for the birth and preservation of the Republic. The yellow one represents our wealth and natural resources. The green one, represents the richness of our nature and hope, as a main value of our society.
