Buenos Aires, Argentina.- Four people were taken to a hospital as a precaution after a package containing explosive material that arrived at the Argentine Rural Society was opened, the Ministry of Security of the City of Buenos Aires confirmed. The small explosion occurred on Tuesday at the premises of the Rural Society in the Argentine capital and the four people had to be taken to the Fernández Hospital, although none had serious injuries. The package was addressed to the president of the organization, Nicolás Pino. A second package received was detonated in a controlled manner by the Explosives Brigade of the Buenos Aires City Police, but it was later ruled out that it contained explosives or that it had any relation to the first of the shipments. The Rural Society clarified in a statement that the package generated smoke when opened and that the people who had to be transferred are in good condition. The authorities still do not know the reason why the package was sent. The Minister of Security of the City of Buenos Aires, Waldo Wolff, said that a committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
