The myth has been installed for years that the Republic of Children, the historic educational park in the city of La Plata, Argentina, inspired Walt Disney to create Dinseyland. The Republic of Children was founded in 1951 and the first Disney park was opened in 1955, which reaffirms the connection between the Argentine park and Disneyland. The argentine park is 65 years old and has 53 hectares that receive about three thousand people per weekend. The property began to be built in 1949 and was inaugurated in 51, under the government of Juan Perón. It is a city with 35 small buildings made to scale of a 10-year-old boy and each of them was built by mixing styles inspired by famous buildings around the world.
