40 years of the historic visit of the IACHR to Argentina during the last dictatorship
Buenos Aires.- Today, September 5, 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the historic arrival of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) to Argentina during the last military dictatorship where he received during the two weeks he remained in Argentina in 1979, 5,580 complaints of human rights violations and toured different places of detention at the invitation of the Military Board that usurped constitutional power in Argentina (1976-1983).
40 years after the historic arrival of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), a delegation of the organization returns to Argentina. Between today, September 5, 2019 and Friday 6 of this week they will be in Buenos Aires to participate in different human rights activities.
