Vetnam.- The Phat Diem stone cathedral, located in the Kim Son district of the northern province of Ninh Binh, about 120 km south of Hanoi, is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in Vietnam. Built for 24 consecutive years from 1875 to 1898, the Catholic church has a special architecture, a mixture of the architectural styles of Western churches and Vietnamese religious buildings, such as communal houses, pagodas and temples. The cathedral is 74 meters long, 21 meters wide and 15 meters high with four roofs, reproducing the roofs of Vietnamese pagodas. In addition to the cathedral, there are six other structures in the complex, including a stone chapel and an elegant bell tower. This entire complex extends over an area of 6.1 ha.
