An epidemic of bird flu on the extensive Argentine Atlantic coast has claimed the lives of a hundred sea lions. "More than 50 dead specimens have been counted along the coast and many others with symptoms compatible with avian influenza," said the Secretary for the Environment of the province of Río Negro (Southern Patagonia), in a statement.
