Nora Morales de Cortiñas, better known as “Norita”, had turned 94 on March 22 and had been fighting alongside the Mothers for 47 years since that first round on April 30, 1977.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.- In the photos taken on April 28, 2024, the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo gave León Gieco the white handkerchief of the Mothers 47 years after their first Thursday March, at the Nuestros Hijos Cultural Space (ECuNHi). This is the first handkerchief delivered by the association since the death of the historic owner, Hebe de Bonafini. It is also the last handkerchief tied by Rosa de Camarotti, known as “Rosita”, who died in August 2022, a job that was completed by Hebe's secretary, Sofía.
