Buenos Aires, Argentina.- In the photos taken on February 7, 2024, the drought turned the Gómez lagoon into a desert. The high temperatures of up to 40°C prevailing in much of the Argentine countryside triggered the alarm, both for soybeans and corn, as well as for livestock and dairy farming. In the west of the province of Buenos Aires and part of the core area there is already talk of losses of lots and problems in growing animal food.
