How do I set up a user account with LANA IMAGES?

From the login page, you can create an account and register yourself as an LANA IMAGES user. Then click on the activation link, which we will send you by email. Log in with your data on our site. Then you can use the LANA IMAGES database without any restrictions.

How will my data be stored?

How can I update my data?

Log in to your user account. Under Account details you can view the currently saved data and update it if necessary.

Can I delete my user account?

Yes, even if we regret this, you can deactivate your user account. Write us an e-mail with the subject "Account deletion".

What is the difference between licensing and copyright?

Licensing grants the right to use copyrighted content for specific uses. Copyright remains with the content creator after licensing, who can set licensing terms of the content.

What can be purchased at LANA IMAGES?

At LANA IMAGES we offer different licenses for sale on behalf of the copyright holders for all content displayed on the website. The respective licenses specify the conditions under which the content may be used, e.g. the type of use, the geographical scope and the medium.

What are the different license categories available at LANA IMAGES?

If I buy a single-use license, can I publish on multiple platforms?

For a single-use license, if the media is used in the same post on multiple platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, then the Web license is valid. However, in case of text change, or if the media is used in another post on the same account, the license becomes invalid.

On which social media channels can the content be used?

The content can be used on all common social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn, Twitch, Pinterest and Reddit).

What are the legal requirements for personal photos?

 In particular, the defamatory or distorting use of the photographic material should always be avoided. In the case of commercial use, it must be clarified whether a model release exists or whether the rights to the depicted property must be clarified with the person depicted or the copyright holder. 

What does Editorial mean?

Media that is restricted to Editorial use may only be used to support informative content about topics of general interest, e.g. news, current or historic events, politics, society, science, art. All other cases are considered commercial usage, e.g. media supporting advertising, merchandising, and sales.

What does Medium and High resolution mean in images?

Depending on the license purchased, the images are available in medium or high resolutions. In the medium resolution, the size of the longest side is between 768 and 1,000 pixels. There are no limits to the high resolution, you will receive the images in the maximum resolution available to us. This resolution can differ from image to image. You will always find the valid information directly in the information on an image.

How should the copyright notice for the licenses be made?

In case of reprinting or other publication of the images and videos, a copyright notice in the form LANA IMAGES / name of the photographer or videographer must be made. 

Can I use images and videos in social media?

You may use images and videos in social media, but you must ensure that the terms of use of the social media platform do not require exclusive rights to the material. When posting it, please include an agency and copyright notice in the form LANA IMAGES /name of the photographer or videographer. The necessary information can be found in the description text.

What payment options does LANA IMAGES offer?

You can pay by credit card, PayPal or instant transfer.

Which currencies are available for payment?

LANA IMAGES offers US Dollars for PayPal payments and US Dollars, Euros, British Pounds, Australian Dollars, Yen and Dirham for bank transfer payments.

How will I get the media after purchase?

After you successfully complete the payment process, the media download will automatically start in your browser. You'll then receive a prompt to approve the download. The downloaded file will be saved to the default download location on your device, but you have the option to choose a different location if you prefer. To ensure a smooth download process, we recommend having a stable and reliable internet connection and sufficient storage space on your device.

Who can I contact in case the media is not downloaded/available after purchase?

Can I cancel an order or a download?

No, cancellations are not possible.

In which countries can I publish the images and videos?

Publishing rights for licenses are mentioned in the description text on each image and video. If nothing is specified, then it means the license is available to be used worldwide.
